I was expelled from kindergarten at 4 years of age. I am black and male my last memories from that kindergarten was me being isolated in a corner in every break, me complaining about multiple things to the staff (some nonsensical I was four), a man taking me to the babies room (empty at the time) and squeezed and twisted my arm after he told me something I didn't take lightly told him something that offended him (don't remember what) and the day I left and had to sign my name somewhere despite not knowing how to read or write yet. The previous kindergarten I went was what I was told was abusive from what I was told and that's why I left that one. People need to be aware about the malpractices in Childcare and other services envolving Children

Parents can do it with out organizations and government and have done so for thousands of years. I guess when my federal government gives a group like this 230 million taxpayers dollars it’s their job to convince us all we need them to tell us how to raise our children. I also hear this group supports transgender education but I only hear this about them. Plan on investigating more to find out for sure. Personally think this was a total waist of my tax dollars 😡

This is the most jaded, political, speech I have ever heard, who is paying her to say all this it is just a lack of knowledge and experience. This Dr. has no clue!!!!!!! it is damaging every word that is coming out of her mouth!!!! it is a shame. I wonder how much time she spent with an infant withdrawing or a child age 5,6, 7 years of age with ongoing side effects from methadone and opioids. I have spent time with hundreds of families.... this is sad and this is why the voice of the infant is not being heard and mom, caregivers, and grandparents are not being helped or supported. This sad!!!

Hello, I am reading Reservation Blues and thinking about the pain expressed in the book. I wondered about mindfulness as it has helped me along with some wonderful therapists. We suffer differently, but it seems that we all suffer. It seemed like we need those who understand our suffering. I have little to no knowledge of my ancestry. Both parents are from families that emigrated from England. But my parents spoke very little about their lives. My interactions with tribal folks is quite limited. I was a wildland firefighter so I interacted with tribal folks on fires. Out of curiosity I searched for tribal mindfulness and found you. I was a volunteer EMT and a wildland fire medic for many years. I had opportunities to work with tribal fire medics. Mental health training is working its way into the medic community, if only slowly. Many of us got into the helping careers because we suffered, but unfortunately we continue to suffer. Too high incidence of PTSD. I am happy to see that you are doing the work that you do. We have all evolved from hunter gatherers. For some, it has been so long, we have no memory. Others, more recently. But we are Homo sapiens. All Africans. All had black skin before our skins changed.

I just did while my son was preparing to make the annual Christmas Cake. It was so productive for the little one to be a part of the process while interacting with the aunt snd the grand parents. Just like the good old days !
